Standard Shipping Notice
To our supporters,
This message is to inform you that Standard Shipping is now available again. However, it will only be available for the USA. Also, the price for Standard Shipping is now $12. To understand why only the USA is available and the reason for the increase in price, one has to first understand how Standard Shipping works.
Unlike DHL Express that uses its own fleet of private planes, postal shipments piggyback on commercial flights that people travel on such as Delta Airlines or Asiana Airlines. However, with travel restrictions and virus concerns, few people are traveling these days or going on trips. This means that very few planes come and go at airports. This results in packages sitting at airports, waiting for a flight to carry them to their destination country. The USA has enough flights to warrant Standard Shipping to be available again. However, being that there are very few planes, the cargo hold on planes now comes at a premium. The airlines are charging more and thus the post office is charging more. It’s simply a matter of supply and demand. We do not dictate the price as we are not a shipping carrier. We have asked for assurances and take the decision to use Standard Shipping cautiously. If the virus situation gets worse again in the future and packages look to be delayed, we will suspend it again.
We have been notified that Standard Shipping will take 10-30 days for delivery. It is important to point out that Standard Shipping is not DHL. There will be no signature required as USPS will deliver the package. It will not be 3-8 business days like that of DHL. It is simply a more economical option, especially if you are not in a hurry to get your package.
We appreciate your support and hope that you understand that we cannot control any part of postal operations. Though it may be unfair that only the USA is available and the price has increased, it is out of our control.
Thank you
